Use the Lucidspark iOS app on your mobile device to view Lucidspark boards, make quick edits and connect with account members, or update and annotate your digital whiteboard using sticky notes or the freehand drawing tool. Download the Lucidspark app on your iPhone or iPad in the Apple App Store.
Plan availability: Team and Enterprise.
- Not available on FedRAMP accounts.
- All account types can use Lucidspark by navigating to lucid.app in a mobile web browser.

Sign in to the app
You can sign in with the email and password you used to create your account or through SSO options. These are:
- Apple
- Office 365
To sign in using another SSO, tap to type your email into the username field and leave the password field blank. You’ll be automatically redirected to your SSO login platform.
If you don't have a Lucid account, you can sign up for a free Lucid account on the app. Enter your email and tap Sign up. You can also use your Google account to create an account.
Use the Lucidspark iOS app
When you open the Lucidspark app, you will start on the Home page. From the menu across the top of the app, you can tap:
- The Lucid icon to be directed back to the Home page.
- The search icon to search documents by title.
- Your Profile image or initials to update your profile photo, access Account Settings, or log out.
The Home page
To navigate to the Home page, tap the home icon from the Lucid menu or
the Lucid icon on the top-left corner of the app.
The Home page consists of three tabs along the top of the page: Recent, Starred, and Recommended.
Recent
The boards under this tab will be those you have most recently interacted with.
Starred
Access this tab to find any boards or folders you have starred as most important.
Refer to The Lucid Home Page article for instructions on starring items.
Note: You will not see the Starred tab if you do not have any starred boards on your account.
Recommended
Under this tab, you will see templates that we have hand selected for you. To learn more about how to Work with Templates check out our article.
Create new boards
Tap the + icon in the bottom-right corner to access the following options:
- Create a Blank Diagram to start a board from scratch.
- Create From Template to browse our Template Gallery and create a new board using a template.
- Board Import to import previous work from Miro and Mural into Lucidspark using a PDF. Check out the Import external boards into Lucidspark article to learn more.
- Create Folder to create a new folder to organize your Lucidspark boards.
- Create Team Folder to create a shared space to host documents on your Enterprise account. Learn more in the Create team folders article.
The Documents page
Tap the Documents icon to open your documents page or return to the document manager. After pressing the icon, the menu at the top of the page will display your document manager. Here, you can locate, create, and manage all boards associated with your Lucid account. The document manager will include the following:
My Documents
The “My Documents” page is where you will find all documents and folders you have created and own.
Shared with Me
The “Shared with Me” page is where you will find all boards and folders that have been shared with you. These are boards and folders you have been granted access to, but do not own.
Team Folders
If you are on an Enterprise account that uses Team Folders, you can access them through the “Team Folders” page. Check out our Help center article to learn more about Team Folders.
Recent Documents
Open “Recent Documents” for a full list of boards that you or a collaborator have recently opened, organized from newest to oldest.
Starred Items
Here, you can find a full list of boards and folders that you have starred.
Trash
Your Trash folder contains documents you have deleted. To learn more about restoring or permanently deleting boards from your trash, refer to The Lucid Home Page article.
Note: The Lucidspark mobile app has a limited view of the Trash folder. Please log into the web version to see all files in the trash.
Access templates
Tap the Templates icon to open the Template Gallery to browse and use templates for new Lucidspark boards. For more information on using templates, read our Start with a template article.
Tap the three-line menu to the left-hand side to open a menu with the following template options:
- All templates: Templates Lucid has created and provided.
- Created by me: Templates you have created and saved on your account for your personal use.
- Shared with me: Custom templates you have shared with collaborators or that have been shared with you. Learn more in Start with a template.
- Corporate: Corporate: These are templates that can only be created and managed by account admins and template admins on Enterprise accounts. If you are on an Enterprise account that maintains official corporate templates, you can access them by tapping Corporate Templates. Check out our Create and organize corporate templates article for more information.
Use Lucidspark on an iPad

Work with objects
Tap to add an object to the canvas from the Primary Toolbar.
From the Primary Toolbar, you can:
- Add shapes, stickies, and containers by tapping and dragging onto the canvas.
- Add text by tapping
the Text icon, then tapping the canvas.

Add a line by tapping
the Lines icon and using your finger or stylus to add to the canvas. To adjust a line and attach to objects, tap the handles at start and end point of the line.

Draw freehand by tapping
the Freehand Drawing icon. Choose a style from the menu and use your finger or stylus to draw.
- Select multiple objects on the canvas by tapping
the Selection tool. In the menu that appears, tap
the freehand multi-select tool and draw a lasso around the objects you want to select.
Moving and resizing an object
Tap an object to select it, then:
- Move the object by holding and dragging to reposition.
- Resize the object by dragging the handles to change height and width.
Modifying and styling
When you tap an object, its context toolbar will open. You can access:
- Fill color, border color, text color
- Fonts, text sizes, and text styles
- Linking
- Emojis
- Tagging
- Locking
- Deleting
Additional tips:
- Long press on the canvas or shapes works like right-click. This will give you more options like copy and paste.
- You can also select multiple objects this way. Long press and drag to pop open a selection square.
