Lucidspark’s freehand drawing tool allows you to easily annotate your brainstorming and collaboration sessions. This article will teach you how to create and style your drawings.

Use the freehand drawing tool
To select the Pen to begin drawing, click the Pen icon in the Primary Toolbar or press “P” on your keyboard. To start drawing, click and drag on the canvas, and a drawing will appear in the path of your cursor.
Your cursor will remain as the Pen until you switch to another tool.
Select an existing freehand drawing
In order to select a drawing, ensure that your cursor is in Select mode by clicking the Select icon in the Primary Toolbar or pressing “V” on your keyboard. Then, click and drag to expand the selection box, which will select anything that it touches.
Style a freehand drawing
You can choose the style of your freehand drawings before creating them by choosing the color and thickness from the Pen menu in the Primary Toolbar. To choose a custom color, select
the plus icon and use the slider and cursor to customize a color.
Adjust the transparency of a custom color by moving the transparency slider or changing the 100% color saturation from the dropdown menu.
You can also style an existing drawing by selecting it and choosing a color and thickness from the Formatting Toolbar. With this method, you can also select multiple objects and style them identically at the same time.
Magic Shapes
To convert a freehand drawing into a perfect shape, open the Pen menu in the Primary Toolbar and select
the Magic Shape icon from the bottom of the panel that appears or select “M” on your keyboard.
Magic Shapes works with circles, diamonds, stars, stickies, squares, triangles, rectangles, and lines.
Erase a freehand drawing
To erase a freehand drawing on your canvas, select the Pen icon from the Primary Toolbar. Then, click
the Eraser icon dropdown on the bottom right and select Object Eraser, Pixel Eraser, or Erase All. Read on to learn the details of each option.
Note: While the Magic Shape icon is selected, you can erase any mistakes by drawing a zigzag line over the error. Be sure to cross your cursor over the shape at least four times to erase.
Object Eraser
This option will allow you to select an object you drew on your board and erase the entire object at once.
Note: You can also erase an object by selecting it and pressing your “Backspace” or “Delete” key on your keyboard.
Pixel Eraser
With this option, you will be able to erase your drawing at the pixel level. To do so, click and drag the eraser over the portions of your freehand drawing that you wish to erase.
Erase All
If you select this option, it will immediately erase all the freehand drawing on your board.
Note: If you are working with collaborators, this will clear only drawings that you have created.
