Access the Sort tool
To access the Sort tool:
- Click and drag to select a smaller group of objects.
- Select
the Sort icon from the Context Toolbar.
- Click Tag, Color, or Votes.
Use the Sort tool
You can sort objects by tag, color, or votes. The smaller text under the Tag and Colors options gives you a preview of how the objects will be sorted. The Votes option explains that you will be able to select which voting session to sort by.
After clicking Tag, Color, or Votes, the objects will be sorted by that category and organized into containers.
For example, here is a collection of sticky notes sorted by tags of “high,” “medium,” and “low”. Note that the Sort tool places the text of the tag into the header of the container.
Here is the same collection of sticky notes sorted by color:
Here is that same collection of sticky notes sorted by the second voting session.
Keep in mind:
- Objects that don't contain a tag, color, and/or were not voted on will not be added to a container when sorted by one of those options.
- Objects that have multiple tags will be duplicated when sorted. The object will appear in a section for each tag it was originally given.
Tips and tricks
- To learn how to add tags to objects, please view our Add a Tag to an object in Lucidspark article.
- To learn how to use color-coded objects for each collaborator, please view this Collaborate in Lucid article. Then you can Sort by color to identify contributions from different collaborators.
