Your Lucid account settings page is where you can review and make changes to your account information, set preferences for notifications and documents, view license information, and review authorized apps and integrations. Read this article for more detailed steps.

Access account settings

Log in to your Lucid account.
Select your profile image or initials in the upper-right corner.
Click Account Settings.

Overview page

When you access your account settings, you start on the Overview page. Use this page to review profile and account information, notification preferences, current license and plan information, and apps and integrations on your Lucid account. To make changes, select the link to see more in the bottom right corner of a tile.

Upload an account photo

Click your profile image or initials on the upper-left corner of your account settings page.
Select a file to upload.

View Support tickets

Scroll to the bottom of the Overview page to view your Support tickets, or open a new ticket to contact our Support team for product or billing assistance.

If you are on a Team or Enterprise account, this is also where you can view all Support PINs.

Adjust user settings

From the User Settings panel, you can change the following information associated with your Lucidchart and Lucidspark account.

On the User Settings page, you can:

Update the first and last name associated with your account.
Select your preferred pronouns, or input custom pronouns.
- Your selection will affect how Lucid refers to you throughout our products.
Set your username and email address.
Update your language preference.
Change your password.
Join a Team account.

Set your preferred account language

Log in to your Lucid account.
Select your profile image or initials in the upper-right corner.
Click Account Settings.
Select User Settings from the menu to the left.
Scroll to the “Language Settings” section.
Click the Display Language dropdown and select a language from the list.
Select Save changes in the upper-right corner.

Note: Supported languages include Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.

Change your password

In your account settings, select User Settings from the menu to the left.
Scroll to the “Change Password” section.
Type your new password twice, and your current password to verify.
Select Save changes in the upper-right corner.

If you don't know your password, you can set a new password or reset your password by selecting Forgot your password? to the right of this section. For more detailed steps to change or Reset your Lucid password, check out our article.

Note: If you are using Google SSO (or another single sign-on method), you will first have to set a password, which you can do by scrolling down and clicking "Forgot your password?" A link will be sent to the email address associated with your account with instructions.

Join a team

If there is a team created, you can select Request to Join Team and a request will be sent to the team’s Account Owner. This option will appear above the “Profile Settings” section of the User Settings page.

If you've already joined a team, the “Team Information” section of the User Settings tab is where you can see your team’s information.

Set default document preferences

The Document Settings tab of your account settings is where you can set preferences for all Lucidchart documents and Lucidspark boards.

Backup and restore

To save your Lucidchart files locally, download a backup of your documents by clicking Download.

You can then restore these files to any account by uploading the file under "Restore" and clicking Restore from backup.

Note: The .laf file downloaded using the "Backup" feature is a Lucid-specific file type. Your device will not be able to open it. To view the backed up file, you need to upload it to Lucid using the "Restore from backup" option.

Set Lucidchart document preferences

Select the Lucidchart tab at the top of the page to navigate to the Lucidchart page. Here you can further customization options that only apply to your Lucidchart documents. With these preferences, you can:

Set the default zoom
Adjust the default line binding
Set the default page units (inches vs. centimeters)
Determine what happens after drawing lines
Set the default page size and format
Toggle grid lines
Enable page tiling
Enable IconFinder search
Enable tips
Enable offline editing in Lucidchart

Set Lucidspark board preferences

Select the Lucidspark tab at the top of the page to navigate to the Lucidspark page. You can set preferences for default shareable links that only apply to Lucidspark boards.

Adjust notification settings

Enable or disable document notifications

Enable or disable notifications for document comments, document changes, and document/folder shares. You can also choose if you want to receive desktop notifications from Google Chrome.

Set communication preferences

Check the box(es) next to the product(s) you want to receive occasional updates from.

Set Slack notification preferences

If you have the Slack integration set up for your account, you can select when you receive Slack notifications for document comments, document access requests, and document/folder shares.

Note: If you use both Lucidchart and Lucidspark, you can opt to select these notifications for neither, one, or both of the products.

Plans and billing

The Plans & Billing page allows you to understand and manage your subscription(s) in one place. On this page, you can:

View and manage current plan details.
Review license information, purchase more licenses, and set auto-upgrade preferences.
View and update your billing information including payment details and billing cycle.
Cancel your plan.
Preview or download invoices for past payments you’ve made for your plans.

Please note:

If you do not currently have a paid subscription for one of the Lucid products, you will see options to upgrade to premium tiers if you select a product specific tab at the top of the page.
If you are not the Account Owner or a Billing admin, you will not be able to see this tab.

Apps and integrations

Review websites and applications with access to your documents

View and manage external applications and websites that have access to your Lucidchart documents and Lucidspark boards.

You can revoke access at any time by clicking the X next to the application name. If you need to restore access, re-authenticate your Lucid account in the integration’s setup process.

Use the Integrations panel to view and manage your critical integrations with your Lucid account. Choose either the Lucidchart or Lucidspark tab at the top of the page to view those integrations for a Lucid product.

Delete your Lucid account

To delete your account, you will first need to cancel your subscription (if you have one).
Select the "User Settings" tab.
Click the "Delete account” link at the bottom of the page.
Follow the prompts to permanently delete your account.
- You will no longer be able to login to view or edit your documents and collaborators who had access to shared documents that you owned will no longer be able to access them.

If you are a user on a Team or Enterprise account, you are not able to delete your own account and will need to reach out to your account’s admin.
