Backup and restore my Lucid documents

Safeguard your work by downloading a local backup of your files directly from your Account Settings. This process creates a Lucid-specific file (.laf) that allows you to seamlessly restore or transfer your documents to any account whenever needed. Read this article to learn how to securely back up and restore your Lucid data.

How to backup and restore your lucid documents

To download a backup of your Lucid documents and save your files locally, start by navigating to your account settings.

  1. Click your profile image or initials in upper-right corner.
  2. Select Account Settings.
  3. In account settings, select Document Settings from the panel to the left.

In the document settings page:

  1. Click Download under the Backup section.
  2. From the options, select which folders you want to download by checking the corresponding boxes.

  3. Click Start download.

You can then restore these files to any account by uploading the file under "Restore" and clicking Restore from backup.

Note: The .laf file downloaded using the "Backup" feature is a Lucid-specific file type. Your device will not be able to open it. To view the backed up file, you need to upload it to Lucid using the "Restore from backup" option.
