Lucid Cards in Lucidspark are an integral part of visual planning, helping users move from ideation to planning. With Lucid Cards, you can create customizable shapes and add details as you brainstorm ideas and organize information. Lucid Cards work seamlessly with the Timelines feature as well as our airfocus, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Smartsheet integrations.

Add Lucid Cards to a board

Convert an existing shape

Right click a shape.
Select Convert to Card.
Choose Lucid Card, Jira issue, Azure DevOps work item, Smartsheet row, airfocus item, or Asana task.
Follow the prompts.
Click Convert.

Note: If the existing shape is in a Dynamic Table, the steps above won't work for converting to a Lucid Card. You need to instead use the Change Shape button found in the Context Toolbar. For instructions, check out our Customize shapes in Lucidspark article.

Import Lucid Cards from a CSV

In a Lucidspark board, select the More menu.
Hover your cursor over Insert.
Select CSV.
Click Lucid Cards.
Use the dropdown menus to organize your data into Lucid Cards fields.
Select Confirm.

Add and edit Lucid Card details

Select a Lucid Card.
Click the pencil icon.
In the menu that appears, you can add the following Card details:
- Title
- Description
- Assignee
- Status
- Estimate
- T-shirt size
- Start and End dates

After you have added a Card Detail, you can edit by selecting the area of the Card you want to change.

Customize a Lucid Card

When you click on a Lucid Card the Context Toolbar will appear. With this toolbar, you can:

Change to a different shape
Convert to Jira, Azure, or Smartsheet, or Asana
Change a Card’s color
Add a link
React with emojis
Add Tags
Lock the Card shape
Edit Card Details

Convert a Lucid Card to Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or Asana

Convert a Lucid Card to Jira

Select one or more Lucid Cards.
Clickthe wizard hat icon.
Select the Jira icon.
- If you have not authenticated your Lucidspark account with Jira, you will be prompted to log in at this step.
Type details in the fields.
Select Convert.

Add a Lucid Card to Smartsheet

Select one or more Lucid Cards.
Click the wizard hat icon.
Select the Smartsheet icon.
- If you have not authenticated your Lucidspark account with Smartsheet, you will be prompted to log in at this step.
Choose a Smartsheet from the drop-down menu.
Click Add to Smartsheet.

Convert a Lucid Card to Azure DevOps

Select one or more Lucid Cards.
Click the wizard hat icon.
Selectthe Azure DevOps icon.
- If you have not authenticated your Lucidspark account with Azure DevOps, you will be prompted to log in at this step.
Type details in the fields.
Select Convert.

Convert a Lucid Card to Asana

Select one or more Lucid Cards.
Click the wizard hat icon.
Select the Asana icon.
- If you have not authenticated your Lucidspark account with Asana, you will be prompted to log in at this step.
Type details in the fields.
Select Create.
