Measure progress
Using reporting shapes like the progress bar, you can get a quick visual of where your team is at on various tasks, allowing you to discuss progress internally or report back to external stakeholders. To learn how to add a progress bar, continue to the next section.
Add a progress bar
Use a progress bar to see a breakdown of story point values and statuses in a group of Lucid Cards. To use this feature you need to have Lucid Cards—with both statuses and estimates—placed in an organizer like a Dynamic Table, Timeline, Frame, or Container.
The steps to add a progress bar differ between container types. Check out the steps below for more details.
Dynamic Tables and Timelines: Follow the steps below to add a progress bar to a Dynamic Table or Timeline.
- Select a Dynamic Table or Timeline.
- Click Planning from the options at the top of the Dynamic Table or Timeline.

Frames and Containers: Follow the steps below to add a progress bar to a Frame or Container.
- Click anywhere on a Frame or Container.
- Select
the Planning and tracking icon from the context menu that appears.
- Click Add progress bar.
A progress bar will be generated and added to the canvas. The totals displayed in the progress bar are calculated using the sum of the estimates (story points) associated with each status.
The progress bar is dynamic and updates automatically as Lucid Cards are added, updated, or removed.
Track workload
Using reporting shapes like the ownership chart and workload tracker, you can get a quick visual of your team's bandwidth and responsibilities, allowing you to make more informed decisions when assigning tasks. To learn how to add an ownership chart or workload tracker, continue to the next sections.
Add an ownership chart
Use an ownership chart to see a breakdown of story point values for each assignee in a group of Lucid Cards. To use this feature, you need to have Lucid Cards—with both assignees and estimates—placed in an organizer like a Dynamic Table, Timeline, Frame, or Container.
The steps to add an ownership chart differ between container types. Check out the steps below for more details.
Dynamic Tables and Timelines: Follow the steps below to add an ownership chart to a Dynamic Table or Timeline.
- Select a Dynamic Table or Timeline.
- Click Planning from the options at the top of the Dynamic Table or Timeline.
- Depending on the size of your Dynamic Table or Timeline, this may appear as
the Planning icon.

A chart will be generated and added to the canvas. The data displayed in the ownership chart is calculated using the sum of the estimates (story points) associated with each assignee.
The ownership chart is dynamic and updates automatically as Lucid Cards are added, updated, or removed.
Add a workload tracker
Use a workload tracker to see a breakdown of story point values for each column of a Dynamic Table. To use this feature you need to have Lucid Cards with estimates placed in a Dynamic Table. Follow these steps to add a workload tracker:
- Select a Dynamic Table or Timeline.
- Click Planning from the options at the top of the Dynamic Table or Timeline.
- Depending on the size of your Dynamic Table or Timeline, this may appear as
