Switch between light and dark mode

For your entire account

You can update whether your Lucid account uses light mode or dark mode from the appearance settings. To change your appearance settings, follow these steps:

  1. Click your profile image or initials on the upper-right corner of your account.
  2. Select Account settings.
  3. Select User settings.
  4. Under “Appearance”, click the dropdown and select your theme preference from the following options:
    • Light
    • Dark
    • Mac OS: Select this option to enable the mode your device’s operating system is currently using.

Check the box next to “Match document appearance” to automatically match an opened document's theme.

  • For example, if your appearance settings are set to light mode, opening a document that has dark mode enabled  temporarily displays the editor in dark mode.

For a specific document

To update the appearance settings for a specific document, follow these steps:

  1. Open the document you want to update.
  2. Click anywhere on the canvas.
  3. Select the right-panel-icon.png open right panel icon from the top-right corner.
  4. In the “Properties” tab under “Appearance”, use the dropdown to select Light or Dark.

Choosing one of these options only applies to the canvas of this document. It will not impact the editor tools or other documents.
