Create LeanIX or Ardoq credentials in Lucid

Generate an API token in LeanIX
- In LeanIX, click your profile image or initials from the top-right corner.
- Select Administration.
- Under “Discovery and Integrations”, select Technical Users from the navigation menu on the left side of the page.

After adding credentials, you can import data from LeanIX or Ardoq into multiple data sources tailored to different needs. For example, you can import a comprehensive organizational profile to track company-wide software compliance. Connect a data source to a Lucidchart document
To connect data you’ve imported from LeanIX or Ardoq to a Lucidchart document, follow these steps:
- Open a Lucidchart document.
- Click
the Enterprise architecture icon from the Primary Toolbar on the left side of the canvas.
- Select LeanIX or Ardoq from the panel that opens.
- Select a data source from the list that appears.
- Click Add data.
Add data to the canvas
After you’ve connected a data source to the document, you can add objects to the canvas by dragging them onto the canvas.
Select a LeanIX or Ardoq object on the canvas to open the contextual panel on the right side. From here, you can see related resources and drag them onto the canvas. Relationships between objects will automatically appear.
Toggle relationship visibility
To show or hide different relationship lines on the canvas, follow these steps:
- Select the text of a relationship line on the canvas.
- Click All relationships.
- In the right-hand panel, under “Related resources”, select Manage relations.
- Click the toggle to the right of each relation type to show or hide them on the canvas.
Alternatively, you can right-click one or multiple selected lines, and select Hide relationships to hide specific lines (if all selected lines share the same relation type, this button will display that specific relation type instead of the generic word “relationships”).
Sync refreshed data to the document
After refreshing imported data in the Lucid Data Hub, you need to sync your Lucidchart document in order to see changes to any LeanIX or Ardoq shapes you’ve added. To sync the document, follow these steps:
- Select
the Enterprise architecture icon from the Primary Toolbar on the left side of the canvas.
- Click the
SAP or
Ardoq icon from the top-right of the panel.
- Click Sync document from the bottom of the panel that appears.
Wait for the data source in the document to finish syncing. This will update the data on the canvas to reflect any changes.
FAQ
Is data bi-directionally synced between Lucid and LeanIX or Ardoq?
No. The data is synced one way only—from LeanIX or Ardoq to Lucid. Changes made in Lucid won’t be reflected in LeanIX or Ardoq. If you make changes in LeanIX or Ardoq, refresh the data source and sync the document to see those changes in Lucid.
