Tables in Lucidspark allow you to represent your information in an organized format. Read this article to learn how to add and use tables.

Access tables in Lucidspark
To find tables to add to the canvas, follow these steps:
- Click
the Organizers icon from the Primary Toolbar on the left-side of the canvas.
- Select Table.
Create a table from draw grid mode
By default when you access tables, you will see the draw grid mode. If you prefer to use input mode, refer to the next section for instructions. You can create a table using draw grid mode by following these steps:

Starting from the top-left corner, hover over the quantity of columns and rows you want in the table.
- Click the square in the bottom-right corner of your desired table size.

The pop-out menu will close, and you can click and drag to determine the size of the table on your workspace.
The table is now added to the canvas and the Context Toolbar will appear, which you can use to style and format your table.
Create a table from input mode
To create a table from input mode, follow these steps:
- Click
the Organizers icon from the Primary Toolbar on the left-side of the canvas.
- Select Table.
- Click Switch to input.

Use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the number of rows and columns.
- Click Create Table.
The table is now added to the canvas and the Context Toolbar will appear, which you can use to style and format your table.
Format a table
Select a table to access it's Context Toolbar.
Format an entire table
When the table as a whole is selected, you will find the following options. You can click:
the insert right icon to add a column to the right of your table
the insert below icon to add a row to the bottom of your table
the auto-resize icon to auto-expand the cells to fit the text
the striping icon to add vertical or horizontal stripes to your table in the color of your choice
the borders icon to select whether you want no borders, only row borders, only column borders, or all borders
You can also access basic shape styling options, such as fill color and line color. For more details, refer to our Add and customize shapes in Lucidspark article. Format individual cells
Select a specific cell on your table to access all the formatting options outlined in the previous section, as well as some additional options. You can click:

the insert left icon to add a column to the left of the selected cell
the insert above icon to add a row above the selected cell

the delete row icon to delete the row containing the selected cell

the delete column icon to delete the column containing the selected cell
Tip: Hover over the delete row or column icon to preview the change. Review the highlighted row or column to confirm your data before you click delete.
Add a line from a table to another object
Select the table, then click and drag from any dot to connect a line to another object. You can attach the line to an existing shape or drop it onto a blank spot on the canvas to create a new one.
