The Timeline feature allows you to easily create timelines to show past events or future plans. Use them for project management, roadmaps, school projects, and presentations.

Add a Timeline

Add a new Timeline

Click the Organizers icon from the Primary Toolbar on the left-side of the canvas.
Select Timelines from the menu that appears.
Click anywhere on the canvas.
- You can also click and drag the timeline from the Primary Toolbar onto the canvas.

Add a card to a Timeline

Double-click the space on the Timeline where you want the card to appear.
You can also drag an existing card on the canvas into the Timeline.

Adjust a Timeline

Select a Timeline to access the context menu. From this menu, you can:

Determine date range in Days, Weeks, or Months.

This range appears along the x-axis of the Timeline.

Group cards within a Timeline by Status, Assignee, or Estimate.

This will appear on the y-axis of the Timeline.

Adjust date range

Select the Timeline.
Click the general time interval dropdown and select Days, Weeks, or Months.
Set the Start Date and End Date.

You will see all changes automatically reflected on your Timeline.

Add details to a Timeline’s y-axis

Select the Timeline.
Click the far-left dropdown in the Timeline context menu and select Status, Assignee, or Estimate.

The cards within your Timeline will be organized along the y-axis based on this selection.

Add a Today Marker

Select the Timeline.
Clickthe Flag icon in the Timeline context menu.
Toggle on "Today Marker".

Add a milestone

Select the Timeline.
Clickthe Flag icon in the Timeline context menu.
Toggle on "Milestones".
Double-click to add a milestone in the space between the date range and the Timeline cards.

Once you have added a milestone to your Timeline, single-click the milestone to:

Change fill color
Change text color
Adjust the deadline date
- You can also click and drag the milestone to a new position on the Timeline.
Adjust line style

To delete a milestone, single-click the milestone and press "Delete" on your keyboard. To rename a milestone, double-click the title, type a new name, and press "Enter" on your keyboard.
