Global data residency for airfocus by Lucid enables accounts to choose where Customer Content (as defined in Lucid’s online Terms of Service) is stored at rest. Lucid requires that all accounts store all data in a single region. With data residency, all users access airfocus from airfocus.app regardless of which region their data is stored in at rest.

Determine which region your account is on
To find your team’s current data region:
- Navigate to Team settings.
- Select Security/SSO.

Application data stored in the data region
Content that is created by a customer is stored in their selected data region. This includes:
- Workspace groups and workspaces
- Items and item content
- Imported data sources (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Customer built extensions
Data migration
New accounts can be set up in a specific data residency region by contacting our sales team. Customer Content will be stored in that region upon account creation.
For existing customers who want to change their data region, contact sales. Existing Customer Content will be migrated to the new data region.
Integration availability and setup
Integrations will continue to work, but your technical team must whitelist additional IP addresses before your migration to ensure continuous service. See the full list of required IPs in our Integrate airfocus with Jira article.
FAQ
What are the details applicable to the default data residency region?
If your billing address is in the Americas and APAC, the default data region is airfocus’ US data region. In any other case, the default data region is the EU data residency region.
Does data residency impact anything besides storage?
No. Data residency for airfocus does not change any aspects of airfocus’ operations other than the data at rest storage location.
What do I need to keep in mind after my account is migrated?
After your account migration is complete, you should focus on these final actions to ensure long-term stability and continuity:
- SSO reconfiguration: Finalize your Identity Provider (IdP) configuration if you use single sign-on. This is required for permanent service stability even with a temporary workaround in place. The new SSO URL should start with https://auth.airfocus.app/[…].
- Update share links: Update and re-share any existing links and portals, as links using the old domain will no longer function.
- Verify IP whitelisting: Ensure your IT department has added the new IP addresses to your company's approved list to keep integrations running smoothly (these IPs are identical for all Jira and ADO integrations).
- Update bookmarks: Update user bookmarks to the new unified login at https://auth.airfocus.app/login on the airfocus.app domain.
