Create a Dashboard view

1. Navigate to a workspace, objective workspace, or portfolio.
2. Click All views from the navigation at the top of the workspace under the workspace title.
   
3. Click the plus sign icon in the top-right corner of the panel that appears.
4. Select Dashboard.
5. Type a name for your dashboard, add a description, and set your team permissions.
6. Determine whether you want to limit the scope of the dashboard and add filters to customize the view.
7. Click Add view.

Add a widget to a dashboard

After following the steps above, you will see an empty Dashboard view. Follow these steps to add a widget to the dashboard:

1. Click + Add widget from the top-right corner of the dashboard.
2. Select a widget type.
   • There are various widget types. You can choose from preset options such as "Team workload", or you can create a custom widget. See the Widget library section below for more details.
3. Click Continue.
4. Use the panel that appears to set your filters, groupings, and intervals.

Widget library

You can add widgets to your dashboard by selecting from a library of presets or by building a custom one.

Preset widgets
Preset widgets are ready-to-use widgets that users can add to their dashboard with a single click. They automatically detect fields and apps used in the workspace or portfolio, simplifying the widget setup process.

Custom widgets
If the preset widgets don't fit your needs, you can build a custom widget by following these steps:

1. Click + Add widget from the top-right corner of the dashboard.
2. Select Custom from the navigation menu on the right side of the panel that appears.
3. Select a custom widget type: Bar chart, Pie chart, Single number, Item list, or Summary.
4. Click Continue.
5. Type a name for your widget in the top-left corner.
6. Under "Settings" on the right side of the panel, use the toggles and dropdowns to customize your widget.
   • Here you can change the display settings, what data is shown, and add or remove filters.
7. Click Add widget.

Add a summary widget

The summary widget delivers an AI-generated snapshot of your workspace directly to your dashboard, eliminating the need for manual reviews. It automatically synthesizes your items into a high-level overview, covering initiative statuses, feedback themes, and real-time team activity

To add a summary widget to your dashboard, follow these steps:

1. Follow steps 1-5 in the Custom widgets section above, selecting Summary in step 3.
2. Optionally, under "Settings" on the right side of the panel, customize your AI-generated summary:
   • Under “Custom prompt”, type specific prompts to guide the summary the AI generates.
   • Under “Filters”, limit which items the AI includes in the summary. Click Filter to limit by fields such as “Assignee” or “Status”. Click Any time to filter items by time period.
3. Click Generate summary.
   • The widget will generate a preview of the summary. AI-generated summaries may provide inaccurate or biased responses. Always review the output before sharing.
4. Click Add widget in the bottom-right corner of the panel.

Refresh the summary widget
The summary widget doesn’t update automatically. The widget header shows the last time the widget was refreshed. To generate a summary with the latest data, hover over the widget and click the Refresh icon in the top-right corner.

Edit widget settings

Adjust widget settings for both preset and custom widgets by clicking the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the widget. You can adjust display preferences, what data is shown, and apply or remove filters to refine your view.

Customize dashboard layout

Dashboards are fully modular. You can make the following layout changes:

• Resize: Adjust widget width and height.
• Interactive widgets: Click individual parts of a widget to interact with it. For example, click on a bar in a bar graph to see the raw data behind it.
• Drag and drop: Move widgets to a new location on the dashboard.
