Link your product management workflows, customer insights, and roadmap prioritization with daily development tasks by syncing data between airfocus and Linear.
Benefits
Easily link workflows from discovery to delivery, aligning high-level product strategies with daily development. Maintain your existing development processes in Linear while using airfocus for a centralized view of all aspects of product management.
Our Linear integration keeps high-level strategy in sync with day-to-day development.
- Import Linear initiatives, projects, and issues into airfocus and keep the two tools in sync.
- Stay updated easily with a one-way or two-way sync between both systems. You can even specify the sync direction for fields.
Initial setup
Navigate to the airfocus workspace you would like to connect with Linear. Go to "Extensions" and then "Manage integrations". Locate the Linear integration and click "Connect".
You will be redirected to an authorization page where you may need to enter your Linear credentials to log in. Then, you will be redirected back to the integration setup in airfocus.
Integration filters
Give your integration a name (used only in airfocus) and select a Linear team. Then, choose the item type to import for this integration instance.
Note: Since different item types (Initiatives, Projects, and Issues) have different fields, we recommend creating one integration per item type.
Next, optionally specify the label(s) items must contain to be imported. airfocus will import Linear items that match any of the specified labels. If no labels are specified, all items from the team will be synced.
Field mapping
Use field mapping to define how information in Linear should sync with airfocus (and vice versa). Item names (required) and descriptions (optional) are mapped by default when setting up a new integration.
How to set mapping directions
Define a default mapping direction, or specify for each field whether you want a one-way or two-way synchronization between Linear and airfocus.
By default, the mapping direction is set from Linear to airfocus only, but this can be adjusted.
How to add a new field mapping
When selecting a field in the dropdown, only fields matching the field type will appear in the dropdown on the other side.
After selecting two fields for mapping, choose the field options and how they should be mapped.
Some field types also support auto-mapping.

Notes
airfocus fields mapped one-way from Linear to airfocus become read-only in airfocus because any changes made in airfocus will be overwritten during the next sync.
⚠️ WARNING: Users can now enable two-way sync for the description field. However, the two-way syncing process might result in slight changes in your Linear descriptions' content and formatting. This is due to not all Linear stylings being natively supported in airfocus yet.
Additional settings
- Archive unknown items: If enabled, items imported previously will be archived in airfocus if they are no longer present in Linear or do not match the integration filters. When "Archive unknown items" is enabled, previously imported items will be archived in airfocus, if they are not present in Linear anymore or they do no longer fall into the filters set for the integration.
- Automatic sync: If enabled, the integration will sync automatically every 10 minutes or when you access the workspace.
- View logs: View your Linear integration activity logs to see the changes made during the last sync.
To save your settings and import your Linear items into airfocus, click update and synchronize.
After the successful setup, your items will be imported and synced.
