Troubleshooting: Enable third-party cookies

If you’re using one of Lucidchart or Lucidspark’s integrations or add-ons, you may receive an error message about cookies not being enabled.

When you have third-party cookies disabled on your web browser, Lucidchart and Lucidspark applications cannot work properly. If you’re trying to sign in via Google, the sign in will fail and prompt you with error messaging to enable third-party cookies. If you’re using a Lucidchart plugin with Confluence, for example, you will not be able to sign in to the integration.

You can enable third-party cookies in your browser settings. Depending on what browser you are using, follow the steps in one of the sections below.

Google Chrome

  1. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Under "Privacy and Security," click Third-party cookies.
  4. Make sure "Block third-party cookies" is disabled.

Firefox

  1. Go to the Firefox drop-down menu from the top toolbar.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Select Privacy & Security.
  4. Under the custom tracking protection options, uncheck the box next to "Cookies".

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click More Actions in the toolbar.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Search for "View advanced settings" and select it.
  4. Under the "Cookies" section, select "Don't block cookies (default)." Make sure that "Block only third-party cookies" is not selected.

Safari

  1. Go to the Safari drop-down menu from the top toolbar.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Select Advanced from the menu across the top.
  4. Under “Privacy” uncheck the box next to “Block all cookies”.

Tip: If you’re having trouble with an integration in Lucidchart or Lucidspark while using Safari, follow steps 1–3 above, uncheck the box next to “Prevent cross-site tracking,” and try again.

Allow wildcard Lucid domains

Add Lucid wildcard domains to the allow list in your browser settings. This ensures traffic from Lucid is not prevented by your firewall. For instructions and a complete list of domains we recommend adding, refer to our Prepare your network for Lucid users article.

We work hard to ensure the information in the Lucid Help Center is up-to-date. However, the processes outlined in this article are not owned by Lucid and may change without notice. If you find these steps are outdated, please let us know here.
