With Lucidspark for Google Meet, everyone can efficiently brainstorm and collaborate while working remotely. Read this article to learn how you can open and use Lucidspark directly from Google Meet, including from Google Meet devices.

Install Lucidspark for Google Meet
To install the Lucidspark app for Google Meet, follow these steps:
- Open a meeting in Google Meet.
- Select
the Activities icon from the bottom-right corner of the meeting.
- Some users may see
the Add-ons icon instead.
- Some users may see
- Under “Add-ons”, select Lucidspark.
- In the panel that appears, click Install.
- Follow the prompts to log in with your Google credentials.
After the install is complete, you can access the add-on from the panel on the right of your Google Meet meetings.
Note: This integration must be enabled at the account level for your organization. If you don’t see the option to install the Lucidspark app, reach out to your internal Google Workspace admin to request that it be enabled.
Link Lucidspark with Google
After installing the add-on, follow these steps to connect Lucidspark with your Google account.
- From the Lucidspark app in Google Meet, click Get started.
- Follow the prompts to log in to your Google account.
- If prompted, log into your Lucid account.
- Click Grant access to connect Lucidspark to Google Meet.
Open a Lucidspark board from a Google Meet meeting
Once you have connected your Lucidspark and Google accounts, you can open a Lucidspark board directly from Google Meet. To do so, follow these steps:
- Select
the Activities icon from the bottom-right corner of a Google Meet meeting.
- Some users may see
the Add-ons icon instead.
- Some users may see
- Under “Your add-ons”, select Lucidspark for Google Workspace.
- Select an existing board and click Select, or click + New Board.
- If the document you are opening is in a repository, you need to open that repository before moving to the next step. Click Repositories from the navigation on the left side, then select the specific repository.
- Set sharing permissions.
- To allow participants without a Lucidspark license to edit the board, enable Edit permissions for “Guests”. This option is only available to Team and Enterprise users.
- Select Attach board.
Use Lucidspark for Google Meet as a participant
To edit a shared Lucidspark board in Google Meet, follow these steps:
- Join a Google Meet meeting.
- When a Google Meet user starts an activity with the Lucidspark app, you will receive a pop-up notification at the top of your screen.
- If you already have Lucidspark for Google Meet installed, click Join Activity.
- If you do not have Lucidspark for Google Meet installed, you will be prompted to Install the add-on.
If you don’t see a pop-up notification, the Lucidspark app is not currently allowed on your account. Reach out to your internal Google Workspace admin to request that it be enabled.
Note: If you do not have a Lucidspark license and do not need to edit the board, you can observe the activity without installing the add-on.
Use Lucidspark boards on a Google Meet device
