Export Lucid chart to Visio

0

Hi Everyone, I have been trying to export couple of process maps that I have done in Lucidchart to Vision, but it all comes out not right. Some of the shapes look weird, connectors need to be redone. I read online that rather than exporting, I should use the download as option, but I cannot find this anywhere on Lucidchart. Can you please help me.

Thank you.

Pegah J Our sincere apologies for the delayed response here! If you're still experiencing this issue, we'd love to take a closer look. The screenshots you mentioned would be very helpful - please submit those and your document URL to this form, and we'll continue investigating.

Justas Z durbanski Marcelo L Kanu J Thanks for continuing this thread, and apologies for the trouble! We're currently experiencing a bug with our Visio export, and I believe that's what you may be experiencing here. I've added your cases to our report for the development team, and they are taking a closer look at a fix. I am so sorry for the trouble, and I'll be sure to update this thread with more information as soon as I have it.

However, in some instances with this bug, our team has been able to successfully export a useable file which imports correctly into Visio. We would be glad to take a closer look at your documents and see if this is the case - please contact our support team using this form, and we can continue the conversation there!

Hi Pegah, thanks for reaching out! There is no different export/download option for Visio files. As a first step, could you try reading through some of the tips in this section of our document export article? These tips apply to both exporting Visio files from Lucidchart and importing Visio into Lucidchart.

If none of those tips help, could you submit a support ticket using this form and include a screenshot of the file in Visio and the URL of your Lucidchart document? That will help us investigate further. Thanks!

Hi Emma,

Thank you for the reply. I have read through the following link: https://lucidchart.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001287223-Export-Download-Your-Lucidchart-Documents#customize-your-download-settings and followed the steps, but I still have issues with the file that is exported into Visio. Happy to raise a ticket and provide the screenshots necessarry.

Hello,

I am also having issues. At first, the export to VSDX was working fine. But since ~ 1 month ago, when I export a chart to VSDX, most of the basic shapes are missing.

I too was looking for an option to export to Visio.  I did use the export feature, but the result was a Visio file that was unusable.  I'm working on a org chart that spans 4 pages wide and the diagram spans way beyond the one page that the Visio doc displays.  Any further ideas on how this export works would be helpful.

Hello I am also experiencing this issue. Are there any updates on how to resolve it?

I am facing similar issue. I am not getting any shapes other than arrows, terminators and connectors. Rest all shapes like process and decision are missing. Tried duplicating and exporting but it didn't work. Any update how to resolve this.

Similar issues here. I used the function a few weeks ago and it worked fine but now it either exports blank documents or with just a few arrows.
