Search for teams in the Lucid search bar. When you search, you will see open teams that anyone can join, closed teams that you can request access to, and any hidden teams that you are already a part of that are relevant to your search. Learn more.

Convert basic lines into dependencies

Speed up your workflow by instantly converting basic lines into Jira dependencies with the Lucid Cards for Jira integration. With just a right-click, you can transform lines into dependencies. This means less time transcribing and more time executing. Learn more.

Line enhancements

When setting a line control point on elbow lines, the line node is now filled in, making it easy to see where you have set the line control point. As you adjust your diagram, the line will stay consistent with that point. Learn more.

Customizable team name

Customize your team space with your team name. Learn more.

New crosshair icon for organizers and generators

When you stamp a shape onto the canvas, you’ll see a crosshair with an icon preview, making it easier to see exactly where your shape will land on the canvas. Learn more.

Profile shape banks

You can now add a shape bank expressly built to hold profile shapes on the canvas, making profile shapes easier to find, use, and manage. Search for and add new profile shapes, or hover over a profile shape to see more information about that user. Learn more.

Team types

Team types give Lucid users more control over team visibility and access. Users can create open, closed, and hidden teams. Learn more.

Open teams will be fully accessible, allowing anyone in the organization to find and join the team directly from the all teams page on the docs list.
Closed teams will appear on the all teams page but joining requires approval from an existing member of the team.
Hidden teams will not be visible on the all teams page, and the only way to join is through an invitation from an existing team member.

Team notifications

Users can now tag a team in a comment and the entire team will receive a notification of the tag. This helps alert teams and bring them into relevant conversations without having to tag individuals.

Slack integration enhancements

Now, when creating a team hub in Lucid, you no longer need to add members one by one. Instead, if you have Lucid’s Slack integration enabled, type the name of a Slack channel that includes the people you want to add to your team hub. Once selected, you’ll be able to review the list of members to ensure it's exactly what you need before creating your new team. Learn more.

Pin external documents in team hub

You can now add external documents to a team hub. This allows for all critical team information to be stored in one location. Learn more.

Expand Frames functionality

Users can now expand Frames with additional expand functionality. When using our expand cursor within a frame, it will only expand the contents of that frame.

Lucid field mapping

Users can tag data with Lucid fields and distinguish between start dates, end dates, assignees, and more.

Map your dataset columns to Lucid card fields and customize the information on the card face.
Map Lucid fields to data, then link data to shapes to organize them in Dynamic Tables.
Map "start date" and "end date" to data and pull things into a timeline.

The new code block shape is available in our shape library. Easily add and review code in a familiar format on the canvas!

Themes

Users can choose and customize a theme at the document level in Lucidchart. Once a theme is selected, it will automatically apply to the shapes already on the canvas and any future shapes added.

Excel two-way sync

Connect spreadsheets from your Microsoft 365 account into Lucid and sync your edits for the most accurate, up-to-date information. When linking data from Excel spreadsheets on the canvas, you can be confident that all changes are reflected in the upstream data set. Edits within Lucid push back to the source spreadsheet, and edits within the Excel spreadsheet appear in Lucid. Learn more.

AI diagram outline

Similar to an AI summary, right-click on any diagram to generate a formatted outline highlighting the diagram title and key details, ensuring a polished and informative document that quickly brings team members up to speed. This feature is particularly helpful for showcasing current-state and future-state visuals, making it easy for any viewer to follow along diagram steps.

AI actions

Access quick actions with ease by adding customizable buttons to your canvas. Simply click to activate or deactivate features, saving time and keeping tools at your fingertips. Learn more.

Brainstorm: Generate fresh ideas with the Brainstorm AI quick action. Input a prompt and let AI provide inspiration, streamlining creative sessions.

Generate diagram enhancements

These changes make getting started with the generate diagram feature faster, more accessible, and improve the quality of what's returned. Users can type a basic prompt to describe the diagram they want generated, then toggle "Enhance Prompt" to automatically have the prompt optimized for accuracy and level of detail. Users also have the option to select their preferred shape library before hitting "Generate." Learn more.

Quick tools

Quick tools include quick shape banks and quick actions. Quick shape banks are pre-grouped stacks of sticky notes and other icons embedded directly in the canvas that you can drag out to use—surfacing the shapes you need for a faster start. Quick actions allow you to instantly trigger features such as timers, laser pointers, and more from a button on the canvas to organize and present your work. Learn more.
